Chief registrar is the head of registrars of the Supreme Court, higher courts and the first instance courts. He is appointed by the judicial Administration
Council .He is accountable to the president and vice president of the Supreme Court Tigray.
• Check /prove/the technical sufficiency of pleadings
• assuring performance report to the president of the supreme court according to schedule
• Check/prove/the technical sufficiency of pleadings according to the civil and criminal law procedures
• Rendering accessible and speedy service by checking /proving /the technical sufficiency of files; and making the process speedy the opening files and rendering copies of disposed files to clients upon request.
• Issuing copy of the disposed files timely to clients upon request (demand)
• Ensuring accessible service:
By appointing public defense lawyer and court interpreter to those which cannot afford to when directed by the court judges, and giving priority to those who are in need of special attention; and by so doing avoiding fear and frustration of client
